Original quilt block patterns & traditional Japanese blocks

Using some of my own mathematical transforms of the traditional rectangular grid, I am designing some unique block patterns - some of these I have already built as 44cm square fighters

I have recently discovered a source of Japanese quilt block patterns to add to my collection of traditional American and European quilt block patterns. Some of the Japanese blocks work very well when used to construct a fighter kite sail (additional Japanese blocks will also make great kite sails, but they are more complex to build without sewing, so I am experimenting with some new construction methods so that I can make them to fly.)
